OUI Continuing Legal Education Course- Mark the Date: December 6, 2011

OUI Laws.  Massachusets Continuing Legal Education (“MCLE”) has announced the date for “Handling OUI Cases 2012”.  This course will be held on Tuesday, December 6, 2011 from 1:30 pm – 5:30 pm.  This course will be held at the John Carver Inn, 25 Summer Street, Plymouth, Massachusetts. This is a 4 substantive credits CLE.

This session will provide an annual OUI/DWI caselaw update, and summarize the year’s decisions in the areas of motor vehicle stops, road blocks, admissibility issues, and breath testing.  The Plymouth program in particular will focus on drug recognition expert (“DRE”) testimony—what it is and how to challenge it. The panelists will discuss DRE procudures during an OUI arrest and ways to defend against it.

I am on the faculty panel for this program, and will be addressing cross examination areas of opportunity when faced with DRE testimony.  Also on this panel are:
